Centrelink Special Payment Eligibility 2025  

There are multiple payments in the list of centrelink special payments. These payments have different eligibility criteria and benefit amounts. Here we have shared top centrelink payment list 2025- 

Parental Leave Pay

This is a payment for the people who have a biological child or adopted child. The payment is given up to 18 weeks while you care for a child. If you have the following qualifications you can receive the payments- 

  • You should have the primary responsibility of raising a child who was born or adopted before 1 July 2023. 
  • You must have met the income test
  • You must not be working during your Paid Parental Leave period.
  • You must have met the work test
  • You should have enrolled or applied to register your child’s birth. 

Payment Amount- Parental Leave Pay is $915.80 per week from 1 July 2024. 

Jobseeker Payment

The jobseeker payment is given to the individuals who are between 22 and Age Pension age and searching for work. Sometimes when you are sick or injured and not able to work for some day then also you could receive the benefits. You must have following eligibilities to receive the payments- 

  • If you’re between 22 and Age Pension age. 
  • If you meet the income and assets tests
  • you must meet residence norms. 

Payment Amount- Jobseeker Payments are given every 2 weeks. The payment amount you get depends on your age, partner, number of children and your income.

Youth Allowance  

The government provides financial aids to the youth of 24 years or younger and a student or Australian Apprentice, or 21 or younger and searching for work. You should have the below mentioned eligibility to get the payments- 

  • Your age should be between 16 to 21 and searching for full time work. 
  • You are between 18 to 24 and studying full time. 
  • Your age is between 16 to 24 and you are doing a full time Australian Apprenticeship. 
  • You are between 16 to 17 and independent.  
  • You are between 16 to 17, studying full time and have cleared 12th class or equivalent.

Family Tax Benefit

It is a payment that the government gives for the upbringing of children. To get the payments you should have eligibility i.e. 

  • You must have a dependent child or full time secondary student of 16 to 19 years who is not getting any other benefits. 
  • You must be a carer of a child for at least 35% of the time. 
  • You must meet an income test.
